Holding Fast To Our Confession Today

faithgainesville

During our church's national convention, we were fortunate enough to hear from two Christians from Finland who were being prosecuted, and persecuted, by their own government on account of Christ and his precious word. They freely spoke the Truth, quoting God's Word, and now are being asked to recant or face fines and/or imprisonment.

Each stood and told their story and give tremendous encouragement to the Church. In this life we will face trouble, Jesus promised, but have courage. Blessed are those who are persecuted for my name's sake he declared.

In the testimony of these two Lutherans, it seems they have heard him, and believed. Filled with courage, holding fast to his word, they announce the blessing of their trouble.

Below are two links, I encourage you to watch both when you have 40minutes. (top is about 6 mins, bottom is about 30 mins)
